Fly Kite!
Thursday, 7. January 2010 16:24
31st December 2009, was at Millennium Walk and Jessica saw a nice little Strawberry Shortcake kite which cost $7.80. 1st Jan 2010, we decided to take a drive to Seng Kang and found a nice flying location. The Strawberry Shortcake kite took to the sky quite effortlessly. Wonderful, we went again on 2nd Jan 2010. Impressed by those bigger kites that flew much higher, that evening I surfed the web and found “www.layangman.com” – Layang means kites. Found this kite – the aerobe. Picked up the kite from Mr Layangman on Sunday afternoon, patiently waiting for the rain to stop and rushed to Seng Kang at 5:30 pm, where the aerobe made its maiden flight. Did not read the instructions properly when rigging the kite, encountered some difficulties in putting the kite in the air. After some effort and thanks to David, we got it up. Ms Strawberry Shortcake Kite was also up in the air.
This is how the aerobe look like. After 7 pm, we proceeded to Punggol Seafood Restaurant to “celebrate” the successful maiden flight of Mr Aerobe. Chilli Crab, Mee Goreng, Prawn Paste Chicken, “Or Nee” and Sea Coconut were the items ordered. Yummy!
This was the best Vacation I had! Thanks be to God! Amen!
